Abstract Submissions
Submissions will be accepted through the Whova online system and should follow the requirements outlined below.
Formats
- Individual Presentation: An author submits an abstract for a podium presentation. If accepted, you will be grouped with other accepted presentations on similar topics and assigned to a technical session.
- Session with Invited Speakers: An organizer submits a proposed session on a relevant topic and invites speakers to participate as contributors to the discussion. The format can be either podium presentations or a panel discussion. The organizer will need to provide names, affiliations, and emails of up to three invited speakers at the time of submission.
Proposal Requirements
- Submitted via the Whova online system
- Title
- Learning objectives
- Summary (Maximum of 500 words)
- For Individual Presentation: Clear and well-written abstract with objectives of your work, methodology, key findings, applications, etc.
- For Session with Invited Speakers: Clear and well-written proposal that demonstrates its relevance to the conference theme and topic and includes speakers with expertise to present the subject matter
- Relevance to one or more conference topics
- One supplemental PDF file (e.g., figures, tables, etc.) can be uploaded to provide additional information in support of your submission
Additional Information
- Selection of submissions will be based on the Committee on Abstracts’ review and recommendation.
- Multiple submissions may be made by the same individual.
- Submissions may be edited at any time up until the official submission deadline.
Workshop Submissions
Submissions will be accepted through the Whova online system and should follow the requirements outlined below.
Formats
- Workshops are scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2026, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM.
- Content should be highly interactive and designed to engage participants.
- Agenda can include group activities, discussions, case studies, demonstrations, or other approaches that involve attendees’ participation.
- Each workshop can include multiple invited speakers.
- The workshop organizer will be responsible for ensuring a cohesive program.
- The organizer needs to provide names, affiliations, and emails of speakers at the time of submission.
Proposal Requirements

- Title
- Learning objectives
- Summary (Maximum of 500 words)
- Clear description of workshop activities
- Explanation on how participants will be engaged
- Relevance to one or more conference topics
- One supplemental PDF file (e.g., figures, tables, etc.) can be uploaded to provide additional information in support of your submission
Additional Information
- Selection of submissions will be based on the Committee on Workshops’ review and recommendation.
- Submissions may be edited at any time up until the official submission deadline.
Graduate Student Poster Submissions
Submissions will be accepted through the Whova online system and should follow the requirements outlined below.
Formats
- Poster presentations are scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
- Posters should be visually engaging, clearly structured and easy for attendees to follow.
- Printing and transporting posters are the responsibility of the presenting students.
- Further logistical details (poster size guidelines, set-up information, etc.) will be provided after acceptance.
Proposal Requirements
- Submitted via the Whova online system
- Title
- Research objectives
- Summary (Maximum of 500 words)
- Introduction: Briefly state the goals of your research
- Methodology: Describe methods/approaches you have used
- Results: Summarize key findings or outcomes of your work
- Application: Highlight the relevance, impact, or possible applications of your research
- Relevance to one or more conference topics
- One supplemental PDF file (e.g., figures, tables, etc.) can be uploaded to provide additional information in support of your submission
Additional Information
- Selection of submissions will be based on the Committee on Posters’ review and recommendation.
- Students will prepare, print, and bring their posters to the conference.
- The top three posters will be recognized during the 2026 Safe Mobility Conference.
- Submissions may be edited at any time up until the official submission deadline.
